![]() ![]() ![]() I gave all the hardware samplers away about 2009, and just use software ITB mainly now, with a MPD-18 as the trigger input.īattery, Groove agent, Logics internal drum synth etc. i did a couple of albums in the 90s with the original MPC-60.Īfter that i owned Akai 950s and 1100s, and gravitated to Roland S750s. Just curious if you slave yours and if it has any timing issues there like the Live does. If you own a 4000 and prefer the X, thats a pretty ringing endorsement. Are you saying that the X is as tight as a 4000? I read so many varied opinions on the X that I don’t know what to believe anymore.lol. That said, I love the Live and owning that and an X would be pretty damn great. The Live is not delivering there for me in that regard. But I have a 4000 and I miss the ultra tight sync when I slave the 4K to my ERM box. The only instrument that can compete with it functionally is the Force, but the MPC X has many more connectivity options, a much larger screen, more tactile control, more visual references and the best pads in the business.I waivered between the X and Live II and went with the Live. It hasn't come down in price because it's worth it- nothing comes close to it in 2021- it's a true music creation hub for any studio- never mind the fact it's an amazing MPC- easily the best one made to date. This is as close to a 'do-it-all' electronic instrument you're gonna get.įor making electronic music, there's simply nothing that comes close to it in form and function. With all the crap out there- those lame rehashes at ridiculous prices- the MPC-X is designed for now and the future- the new King of MPCs, and I say that while owning a 4000. General thoughts? thanks to anyone kind enough to reply.īuddhait hasn't come down in price because it's worth it- nothing comes close to it in 2021- it's a true music creation hub for any studio- never mind the fact it's an amazing MPC- easily the best one made to date. ![]() How well do they work? how well do they link to your DAW? i have noticed that MPC-Xs dont seem to be coming down in price.ĭoes that mean people are happy with the machine and are NOT selling them off. ![]()
